My most personal film so far, Neneli is an intimate interview with my mother and stepfather in which they share their experience with In Vitro Fertilization. Using old footage from my own childhood and my mother’s pregnancy from more than 20 years ago, as well as footage from my mom’s pregnancy with my sister from 2 years ago, this documentary serves as an attestation of the joys and struggles of IVF, as well as what my family and I will show to my sister when the time comes to explain to her how she came to life.
